It’s not very often in the skiing world that the major ski media promotes the up-and-comers of the freeskiing world who don’t hail from the superpipe or slopestyle scene. Yet the competitive Freeskiing World Tour (read as gnarly cliffs, manky venues and sometimes, billowy powder) has had its share of stars emerge from the ranks of ski bums and college students alike.

You may or may not have heard of the old TatsVan. She was a trusty wagon, fit for hauling adventurers of any capacity. Her time was spent on the open road, in search of nasty road conditions, with which she proved her mettle time and time again. The dings and dents, scratches and rust – she always took a beating with such grace – nothing could mask her innate ability to make friends and keep her seats filled with travelers of the ski and raft bum kind.
I’ve always believed that you are who your friends are, and sometimes that may scare you. However, in this case, I am more than proud to announce that my friends must be crazy!
I checked out my buddy Cody Barnhill’s website where he has recently posted a YouTube video of him participating in a Tall-bike Jousting contest held in Downtown SLC, UT. Check it out, and let him know what you think!
I also visited my friend Rachel Burks‘ site to continue reading up on her adventures in France where she’s been toiling away producing wine in a vineyard. Pretty interesting taste of foreign life with some great photos along the way.
Tyson Bolduc posted some sweet photos on his site from the Backcountry.com ‘Pray for Snow’ party they held for their employees and friends. Read all about Tyson’s account (including pictures of yours truly!) here at his blog. And don’t forget to check out the Tyson Bolduc Tribute song as well!
Suzanne Graham recently attended the GoFast Games out in
Royal Gorge, CO with her boyfriend Jesse Hall. Check out her account of the story and some sweet photos to go along. She even got to meet Glen Plake!
Well, for now, that’s all I have. If you want to follow the adventures of these and other crazy friends of mine, please feel free to click on any of the names included to the right of this post. And, thanks again for checking out ChrisTatsuno.com! Every click here helps keep the TatsVan on the road. See you all at a Warren Miller film tour stop this Fall!
Well, the TatsVan is fixed and back on the road. Thanks to Jonny A and Dustin over at Backcountry.com and Tramdock.com for helping out a poor ski-bum. By the way, check the new hotness:

Now that the van’s all pimped out, expect to see some upcoming adventures posted right here on chrisTatsuno.com! Be sure to check back often. And, if you want one of these sick stickers, click on the Backcountry.com logo to the right and tell ‘em you want one!
Thanks to Willie Volckhausen for the photos and the sick BC. Peace.
The TatsVan is gettin’ some press coverage. Check it out:
