Well, another weekend past, another story of debauchery that can’t be told here. So, I will tell you of the other happenings that transpired in the Roaring Fork Valley:
Friday night started off with my buddy BryanV pulling up BellyUpAspen.com on the ol’ computer to see what shows were coming into town. Immediately, I see “80′s Prom!” on the playlist, with featured cover band from the era, The M80′s. Sweeet!
“Wait, there’s more?!” I asked Bryan in disbelief. With an additional $5 on the ticket price, we had the privilege to enjoy a night of LIVE KARAOKE on the main stage in the downtown Aspen concert venue.
“Woohoo!” we both shouted in unison. Now, if you haven’t had the privilege of performing a cover song as the lead singer in live 80′s rock band, then you haven’t even eaten the worm in the tequila of life. There’s nothing better than rocking out to your own air-guitar while the real thing is twanging along right beside you. Throw a little ‘rock fist’ in with it, and you’ve got yourself a patented rock performance.
With the night’s plan set, we
rounded up the rest of our small crew and cruised the TatsVan into town, first stop being Lil’ Annies. Serving for the past few years as our crew’s AspenTown haunt, this little spaghetti house clears its red-and-white patterned tabletops and readies itself for the hard-drinking crowd. This also happens to be the location where things began to blur…so, in the interest of time and avoiding confusing any facts, pictures will just have to suffice. God, I love Facebook.
